Allison, thanks for sharing this article with me. I just happened to go back to Saturday's post and saw you left me this link. I truly love the end of this! My instructor really did say, "I can tell this is going to be a hell ride!" I had really no experience and no one really to teach me how to drive. My sister and brother were 5 and 6 years older and had all left home by the time I was ready to attend driver's ed. I remember sitting in the back seat as they were yelled at by my father because they had to learn a stick shift and the pulling away from stop signs was always challenging. Thanks for being such a great responder to my work on the ELA verse site. I felt kind of badly yesterday because later I thought my piece might have sounded like I was a total B about teaching, but I have always loved teaching.
